Jess Gambrell grew up in Tarrant County and has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Before becoming an attorney, he spent ten years working in logistics, an experience that deepened his understanding of people from all walks of life and strengthened his ability to connect with clients facing difficult circumstances.
Now a seasoned criminal defense attorney, Jess fights tirelessly to protect the rights and freedom of every individual he represents. His background includes years of experience on both sides of the courtroom, giving him a rare and valuable perspective on how cases are built, prosecuted, and ultimately challenged.
Before entering private defense, Jess served as an Assistant District Attorney in Tarrant County and as an Assistant County Attorney in Williamson County. In those roles, he prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor cases from intake through jury trial and appeal, ranging from traffic offenses to capital murder. This experience provided him with firsthand insight into investigative procedures, prosecutorial strategy, and how to identify weaknesses in the State’s case.

Jess earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pitzer College. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Eastern District of the United States, the Texas Bar College, and the Tarrant County Bar Association.
